summer beret (arrowhead lace pattern)

What you’ll need:

1. One ball of Peaches & Creme cotton yarn (worsted 4) in bright blue.

2. Size 9 knitting needles and tapestry needle

3. A lazy afternoon.

Row 1: K1, *(yo, sl 1, k 1, psso) twice, k1, (k 2 tog, yo) twice, k 2*

Row 2 & 4: P

Row 3: K 2, *yo, sl 1, k 1, psso, yo, sl 1, k 2 tog, psso, yo, k 2 tog, yo, k 4*, end k 3

* = repeat

1. C/O 80 sts using cable C/O method.

2. k 3, p 2 (ribbing) for 3 rows

3. Row 4, increase by 9 sts evenly across. (add stitch after 5,5,5,5,10,10,5,5,5,5) 89 sts

4. Row 5, begin arrowhead lace pattern. Continue for 24 rows.

5. Row 29, begin decreasing evenly across (k right side, p wrong side) by 8 sts, every row, for 10 rows. (1st row decrease by 9. knitting 3 tog at end of row)

6. Cut yarn leaving long enough tail for seaming, then slip remaining 8 sts to tapestry needle.

7. Seam up hat and weave in tails.

8. Done!

Hopefully this is clear/understandable. I’m usually pretty terrible at giving instructions, and this is actually the first knit pattern I’ve ever written down. So, I  guess what I’m saying is.. good luck!
